One prompt per step, in Claude Code. Paste them in order, in the same folder, and answer when it asks. Steps 1 to 6 are the core, with 4b where you apply yourself; the bonus steps add more to your schedule page.
0 · Setup, 10 minutes
Claude Code on a paid Claude plan: run claude, then /login with your claude.ai account.
A folder for this conference: in Terminal, mkdir conference-agent && cd conference-agent. Every file the agent makes lands there.
Your browser: in that folder, start with claude --chrome and install Claude in Chrome when asked.
Optional: log in to Luma and Partiful in that Chrome.
Check:/mcp shows Gmail and Calendar, /chrome says Enabled.
No browser? Start with plain claude and skip 5: the prompts still work with public side-event guides and pages you paste in.
Disclaimer. The browser part shows what is technically possible, for personal exploration only. Many event sites (Partiful, Eventbrite, Web Summit and others) do not allow automated access in their terms. Check each site's terms, use only your own account, read only, never auto-register and never collect other attendees' data. You are responsible for how you use it. Not legal advice.
The core · steps 1 to 6
1
Profile
Live in the session
I'm attending [conference link]. We'll work in steps so you can manage my event schedule, applications, contacts and tasks while I focus on networking. Step 1 is my profile: research the conference, then ask me 5 short questions to learn who I am, what I want from it, and what event hosts (Luma, Partiful, the conference app) usually ask. Save profile.md with my answers, a 2-sentence bio and a one-line "why I attend" for me to approve.
You get profile.md: bio, why you attend, details, goals, who you want to meet, scheduling rules, permissions, standard host answers, open items.
2
Goals
Live in the session
Step 2 Goals: based on my profile, discover 3 ranked goals with measurable targets. You will use this to choose events for registering and prioritizing my attendance. Save in goals.md.
You get goals.md: 3 goals with weights, how each event is scored, hard filters and tie-breakers.
3
Events
Runs about 20 minutes
Step 3 Events: build a full list of events in the conference city during the conference week. Use the conference's MCP or API if it has one; otherwise start with its official schedule page ([schedule link]) and read it day by day with Claude in Chrome, including talks and official meetups. Then add side events from the side-event guides, Luma, Partiful, Meetup and Eventbrite, where I'm logged in. Read only, and check each site's terms first: if a site does not allow automated access, skip it and tell me. Save every event in events-raw.csv with date, local time, title, host, venue, type (talk, meetup or side event), the platform I register on, event link, approval needed, price and where you found it, using the event link as the ID so nothing is duplicated. Keep going until no new events turn up, list free events first, and tell me what you could not reach.
You get events-raw.csv: one row per event, the event link as its ID. Read the disclaimer below before you use the browser part.
4
Plan
Approve one day at a time
Step 4 Plan: go through the events and, based on my goals, pick the best events for each day and time slot, with a backup for each slot. Show me the list one day at a time; I'll approve it or ask for changes. When I approve a day, mark its events as Planned or Backup in events-raw.csv.
You get Planned and Backup marks per slot. You apply yourself: ask for an answer sheet with your profile answers and every link.
4b
You apply
After step 4, by you
I applied to [event names]. Mark them Applied in an apply_status column in events-raw.csv, and keep Planned and Backup as they are.
Open rsvp-answers.md, click each link logged in with your own account, paste your answers, then tell the agent. It never registers for you: many sites do not allow automated sign-ups.
5
Schedule page
On your phone
Step 5 Schedule: build my schedule as a phone-friendly artifact from my Planned and Backup events: a compact day strip, a list and a timeline, each event with time, venue, status and small buttons for its register link and map. Publish it and give me the link.
You get a private page on claude.ai, one link for phone and laptop. Not your style? Ask: "make it more compact".
6
Daily check
Every morning of the conference
Step 6 Daily check: check my inbox and the event pages for new approvals, waitlists and changes for today. Update plan_status and apply_status in events-raw.csv and my schedule page at the same link. Give me a 5-line brief: what changed, where to be, what kind of people to look for, and what I should apply for next; I apply myself.
You get an updated plan and page, and a 5-line brief. Needs the Gmail connector for approvals and waitlists.
BONUS
Extra features for your schedule page and your contacts. Add them when the core works.
B1
Page upgrades
Travel, clashes, LinkedIn QR
Bonus 1 Page upgrades: update my schedule page. I start each day from [your hotel or address]. Add walking or ride time and a leave-by time between my events, flag clashes, and add a card with a QR code to my LinkedIn profile [your LinkedIn link] that I can show people; make the QR with a standard QR library, not your own code. Republish to the same link.
Your LinkedIn link: LinkedIn app, your profile, the three dots, Share profile, Copy link. Scan the QR once before you show it.
B2
Contacts
Save a person in 10 seconds
Bonus 2 Contacts: add a "+ Contact" button to each event on my schedule page and one floating button. It opens a short form: LinkedIn link, a note I can dictate and an optional photo; where we met is filled in from the event. Save it straight away to the page's private database and show Contacts and Tasks tabs, with a "Process new contacts" button that asks Claude to fill in name, title and company and add a follow-up task. Republish to the same link.
You get a People tab. Ask before you photograph or save anyone's details.
B3
Follow-ups
After the conference
Bonus 3 Follow-ups: after the conference, put everyone I met and every follow-up in follow-ups.csv: name, title, company, where and when we met, LinkedIn, my note, the task, due date and a short draft message in my voice. I'll go through it in Excel and send them myself.
You get one row per person with a draft message. It never sends anything itself.
